Lucerne is committed to the preservation of its historic wooden bridges. In order to make these cultural monuments accessible to a wider public, the City of Lucerne is striving to make moderate improvements to the wooden bridges. Thanks to a bequest, the City of Lucerne is in a position to be able to ring-fence funds for this purpose.
This website is a project that has been initiated by the City of Lucerne and implemented by local partners Digital Heroes and bas Kommunikation. Lucerne Tourism has provided support as a partner in the project. Art historian Heinz Horat has contributed his considerable expertise.
The developers strive to continually improve this website. The supply of stories about the wooden bridges is almost inexhaustible.
